About

A monograph is a fundamental work on a specific scientific problem, created by one author or a group of authors. A monograph contains the history of the issue, the current state of the scientific problem under study, and ways to solve it.

The main task of a monograph is to present in an accessible form what the author has come to in the course of his research. The author presents their results with references to scientific works, including their own, argues and comments on them, and describes the research methodology.

Monographs created by individual authors or groups of authors are accepted for consideration by the NAO “Karaganda National Research University named after Academician E.A. Buketov”.

For a monograph to be considered at a meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council (STC), the following documents must be submitted to the STC secretary in a folder:

• an application addressed to the Chair of the University Academic Council, signed by all authors;

• a printed manuscript of the monograph;

• an electronic version of the monograph;

• the original external and internal reviews;

• an extract from the department meeting with a recommendation for publication;

• an extract from the meeting of the scientific institute/laboratory where the author(s) report the results of their discoveries to the scientific community;

• an extract from the meeting of the Academic Council of the faculty stating that the monograph meets all the requirements for scientific publications, is recommended for printing, and is being published for the first time;

• a certificate confirming the absence of plagiarism. The originality of the monograph submitted for publication must be at least 70%.
