Publication Ethics
The publishing house of the Karaganda National Research University named after Academician E.A. Buketov strictly adheres to the ethical principles established by international organizations, including the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), maintaining high standards of publishing practice and compliance with international best practices.
Editors are responsible for selecting scientific publications (monographs, books, and book series) for publication, have the right to reject materials that violate legal requirements regarding libel, copyright, and plagiarism, and are obligated to ensure the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts until publication.
Adherence to publishing ethics requires responsibilities from both authors and the editorial staff.
To ensure quality and transparency, the editorial team uses specialized tools to identify texts created using artificial intelligence. Manuscripts containing inappropriate use of AI are subject to rejection. Editors, editorial board members, and reviewers are prohibited from using generative artificial intelligence (GAI) when preparing reviews, as the use of such tools carries risks of violating the privacy and intellectual property rights of authors.
